HoodEats

Share Food.
Build Community.

HoodEats connects neighbours who have surplus food with community members who need it, reducing waste and strengthening the bonds that make a neighbourhood feel like home.

Community First Reduce Food Waste Free to Use Hyper-Local

A smarter way to share food in your neighbourhood

Every day, households prepare more food than they can consume. Meanwhile, community helpers such as security guards, housekeeping staff, drivers and domestic workers often go without a warm meal.

HoodEats bridges that gap. Donors post surplus food listings with pickup details and a time window. Receivers, anyone in the community, can browse and claim what they need. Simple, quick, and entirely local.

No money changes hands. No middlemen. Just neighbours helping neighbours.

"Would I serve this to my own family?"

The simple question every HoodEats donor asks before posting a listing. Because trust is the foundation of our community.

From your kitchen to someone's table

Four simple steps, entirely within your community.

1

Create your account and set your role: donate food, receive food, or both.

2

Post or Browse

Donors list surplus food with photos, descriptions, and a pickup window. Receivers browse what's available nearby.

3

Claim & Confirm

A receiver claims a listing. The donor is notified. Pickup details are confirmed within the app.

4

Share & Connect

Food is collected at the agreed time. A meal is shared. Community grows stronger.

Key Features
